| Japan is a country which excels in duality and balance. The contradictions are fascinating to observe. Many think of Japan as the land of invention, a nation dominating in scientific and electronic discovery. But Japan is famous as a natural world as well, a world surrounded by coastlines and flourishing wildlife unique in every season. And while Japan is a modern country- progressive in everything ranging from fashion to politics, it is also a particularly traditional and spiritual culture as well. We see this amongst the famously brazen youth culture juxtaposed against a society known for its earnest, hardworking, honorable morale. What’s significant is that Japan has a palpable influence in the western world- from politics to popular culture. Yet even today the country remains a mystery to most of the outside world. The many sides of Japan create a striking mysticism which is what makes it a fascinating and delightful place of discovery for any traveler. |
