Windows XP: You can use the built-in, full-featured East Asian Languages in Control Panel support that works in all applications. Please go to the Windows Control Panel, find the Regional and Language Options and double click to open it, then do the following:
- Click Languages Tab in the windows of Regional and Language Option.
- Make sure check box of Install files for EastAsian Languages in Supplemental language support was checked.
- After click OK, it will install related language files into your system. This should start a copy process - you'll need your Windows XP CD.
- Restart your system after installation finished.
Windows 2000: Microsoft Global IMEs are not necessary or supported on Windows 2000 since that OS has full-featured East Asian input support built in. Please go to the Windows Control Panel, find the Regional Options applet and do the following:
- In the General Tab, find the "Language Settings" area and add the language you wish to use. This should start a copy process - you'll need your Windows 2000 CD.
- After the install has completed, select the "Input Locales" tab and then add your keyboard/IME to the active list.
- Restart your system.
